The Royal

Deemed as the royalty of Spanish olives; with a lineage stretching back thousands of years and a sensitivity to match, the Royal stands out as one of the rarest olive varieties found in the world.

Native solely to the rugged valleys of Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas (UNESCO Biosphere Reserve), they thrive in the mineral rich soil found in one of the most unique microclimates known to man.

The region, known for its abundance of wild aromatic herbs, gives our oil the distinct connotations of the terrain, such as nuances of rosemary, thyme and lavender.

Last of a dying breed, these ancient trees yield tiny fruits – hand-picked in the traditional way, due to the sensitive nature of the Royal trees. While some farmers plant new olive trees and uproot them every 7th year to maximize their yield, our olive groves remain – consisting of centenaries and even millenaries.

With an acidity level of 0,2% as well as a distinct lack of bitterness, the Royal Extra Virgin Olive Oil provides a sensitive refined touch.

Aceites Cazorla carries the Certified Quality Seal of the Andalusian Government, and is a part of Designation of Origin “Sierra de Cazorla” which guarantees the cultivation, elaboration, obtaining and bottling processes of its olive oils, as well as the certification of the quality of extra virgin oil.
